A horror game I'm making on Roblox. Every round one player is the killer and everyone else has to stay alive until the timer runs out.

what is this?

Hidden İn The Code is an asymmetric horror game. If there are 2 or more people in the server, one of you gets picked as the killer. Every other round the killer is Geometry instead, an AI that goes after everyone at once.

Survivors play as characters from their inventory. Each one has its own ability and its own stamina. You buy them in the shop with Tix, and everyone starts with 500.

how a round goes

  1. Pick a character from your inventory while you wait in the lobby.
  2. "Round Starts in." counts down from 30, then everyone gets moved to the map.
  3. One player is the killer, or Geometry on AI rounds. The killer spawns away from the survivors.
  4. Survivors run, hide and use their abilities. Sprint the whole time and you'll run out of stamina.
  5. When the timer hits zero, whoever's still alive wins. Tix and RP get handed out.

One map so far: Remainz. Two bigger ones are planned.

M1 stuns the killer for 3 seconds if you're close enough. 25s cooldown, only 6s if you miss. Has the most stamina.

ranked

Win rounds, get RP, rank up. It only counts in rounds with 2 or more players, and your rank icon shows up next to your name in the player list.

new stuff

  • the killer can be a real player now. if there's 2 or more people in the server one of you gets picked
  • every other round the killer is the ai again
  • ranked is here. win rounds and climb from iron all the way to platinum
  • your rank shows up next to your name in the player list

changes

  • player killers spawn where geometry spawns, not next to you
  • killer hits line up with what you actually see now
  • torchwood got the M1 stun and more stamina
  • the ai got nerfed a bit

fixes

  • spectate works again, and you can watch the killer too
  • you can't get out of the map through the gaps anymore
  • abilities that sometimes didn't go off
